Alice Hart buried in Ipswich, Massachusetts Alice Hart's stone has the oldest artwork I have reproduced. She died on JUne 8, 1680. Her stone appears in Allan I. Ludwig's book Graven Images as an example of work done by the Ipswich carver I, and he dates the stone in 1682. Each necklace is handmade and therefore unique. These photos represent a typical necklace with the Alice Hart design. It is hung from an 18" black suedette cord with a two inch extender so the length is adjustable.
